Chandramukhi, does that name ring a bell?

Okay we are not referring to the gorgeous Madhuri Dixit or the very talented Jyothika Ra Ra- ing her way into our nightmares. Good, now I can’t take those eyes out of my mind! And for my Bengali brethren, not referring to the potatoes either!

This post is specifically about the 2022 Marathi movie Chandramukhi. More specifically about its music.

Trust me when I heard the upbeat and fun Lavani number Chandra, which also happens to be the title song, I thought there won’t be any better song in here. A magical composition by the iconic duo Ajay-Atul and angelic Shreya Ghoshal is exactly what I needed when I heard it for the first time.

Then I stumbled upon a rustic and sensual piece by Arya Ambekar called ‘Bai Ga’ and it remained my ear-worm for a while.

All hells broke loose when I discovered “Toh Chand Rati”, again by the soulful Shreya Ghoshal which became my ultimate love anthem, for a while.

See, I am a sucker for good music. You can trust me when I say, this is something you should check out if you love a good musical album.
